Our second lovely Christmas adventure took place with Mr. Schalk's family at
the lake. We didn't have a great deal of snow, but we did have a blazing fire every night and lots of Christmas cookies and good cheer.

As I have probably mentioned on multiple occasions, Cricket is blessed with a cousin on each side. Cousin Z is only 10 weeks younger than Miss Cricket. I love watching our girl with her cousins. They all have so much fun!
We spent lots of time loving on our babies and soaking in family time. We heard lovely Christmas stories that reminded us of God's grace and the gift of open hearts. We ate delicious meals and even got to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, a classic and one of my faves!

| Eeek! She is so cute! |
Christmas morning was such a treat. The kiddos opened their gifts and we all enjoyed the festivities.

| Cricket LOVED her gift from Santa...a wooden alligator chomp walker. She walked herself all around the house and back again. She was such a doll "walking" around in her Christmas pajamas complete with reindeer footies. |
This was truly a Christmas that I will remember forever. The time spent with our families is something Mr. Schalk and I treasure greatly. I do believe Cricket had the best 1st Christmas ever! There is nothing like watching life through a kiddo's eyes....especially Christmas. They sparkle and light up in ways that no adult could match. It was a very merry Christmas indeed!
xoxo, Rachel
