The year is coming to a close. While I am really looking forward to 2012 for a multiple of reasons, I have to say 2011 was a record year for our little family. Mr. Schalk and I became parents to the sweetest, funniest, most delightful girl in the whole world. Cricket made this year nothing short of magical.
Those first few months were unique to say the least. Some may call them
tough, exhausting and overwhelming. I would agree, but even those first
few month's of Cricket's life held wonder and newness that was special
beyond words.
With each new month came new milestones reached, new smiles received and a love that grew and grew. We laughed, we learned and we praised our awesome God for each day and each blessing.
As we close the year, we are the proud parents of a bouncing, hand clapping, peek-a-boo playing ten month old. We are saying good bye to a year of little sleep and lots of kisses. A year of a million photos, two million dirty diapers and lives that have changed in the most wonderful way possible.
Our family will always remember 2011 fondly. With eager anticipation we welcome 2012. It is sure to be a great year of growth for us as we set our focus on God's will. Loving our little Cricket each day and praying that God uses our gifts to His ultimate glory.
