Cricketbaby you're five months old!
My oh my, where has the time gone? This month has been especially fun watching you interact with others and soak in your surroundings. You are enjoying all of these new experiences to the max! You are big enough to sit in a high chair now, which is lots of fun for you. Playing is the name of the game these days!

You are such a curious baby, too. You reach and explore and turn in all directions to get a better look at the world around you. And, don't even get me started on your exploration of taste. Paper, fingers, baby Sophie...it all goes in the chute so you can determine if it's worthy of your attention. It sure keeps us on our toes...and we wouldn't have it any other way!
It honestly feels like Christmas morning every single day when we get to play with you and watch you develop before our eyes. Especially, now that you are getting on a better sleep schedule. Oh baby, it took us a while but we have made such progress in the last month. Yippee!

You are loving your toys these days! Your dolly, Sophie, Baby Sophie (a.k.a. the fave teether in our house) and especially your colorful zoo themed crinkle book. Our sweet cousin, Kayla, got this for you when you were born. It was a favorite toy of her daughter, Eliana, so she decided to get one for you, too. Wasn't that nice? I can't wait for you girls to finally meet at the next family reunion. You can give her lots of slobbery kisses to say thank you.

These five months have flown by. You and your Nana share lots of special times together during the week, which is such a blessing that I can hardly type these words without crying tears of gratefulness. You play and love each other and have a ball. Then, you light up like the sun when your Daddy and I come home from work. It is truly the highlight of our weekdays!

Yes, you've found your toes, as well!
You love life little Miss Cricket! Watching you smile and laugh and be silly is such a fresh reminder to look at the joys of the world around us. God has blessed us beyond words with you as our daughter. Each day is truly a gift. You live to the fullest without any worries in the world. Perhaps you wonder why I kiss you sooo much and love on you each moment I can. Well, it's because you are the best! We can't imagine what life would be like without you. You were always meant for our family and we thank God each and every day for you.
And, at the end of the day, after you have played and played, you can rest easy knowing you are loved more than the moon and the stars! Oh, how we adore you dear girl!

Little Miss Cricket is so sweet!
