Dear Cricket,
You are three months old my beautiful girl! Three months and already a million memories. As I am writing this now you are sleeping in your favorite swing. You look so peaceful and pretty.
Soon you will wake up and smile. You always smile when you wake up. My heart wants to burst a million xxx's and ooo's when you break out in your signature gummy grin. Perhaps that is why Mama gets camera crazy. I can't help myself. You are such a delight and so much fun! Please remind me to take this many pictures of your siblings when they come along.
I am sure by then you'll have your own little camera to play with.
But, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
This has been a great month for you. You seem to have turned the corner from newborn to full fledged baby. And, in the process you have learned so much. You found your hands, your toes and your puppy dog. Bonnie loves you and is a wee bit on the protective side. She thinks her barking wards off unwanted guests when you're sleeping. Too bad the guests are friendly and her barking tends to wake you up in a bit of a scare. She means well, I promise.
Last night you had a daddy date night while I went out with the girls. You gave Rachel and Kaleena big smiles when they came over. You are such a pretty baby and so very happy! I enjoyed some girl time while you played with daddy. I love seeing your face light up when he enters the room. My two favorite people sharing a special bond!
I could write and write in thoughts and enthusiastic adjectives all day long. However, compared to the immense love I feel for you, these words fall flat. I often catch myself grinning widely at the mere thought of you. These are the happiest times I've known. I thank God everyday that he has entrusted you to us.
Cricket, you are beyond magical!
Happy 3 month birthday daughter of mine! May you always see on my face the immense joy you bring to my heart.

ReplyDeletei know it's easy to say, 'oh your baby is so cute.' but seriously? she is STUNNING. and three months? gah, it goes so quick. everytime i see a baby younger than naomi it makes me craaaaave another one. i'm so crazy. ;)

ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful that daddy enjoys doing daddy daughter night so mommy can go out with the girls, which is so healthy and makes you an even better mommy. YAY for daddy! He's the man!
My daughter is a pastor's wife and moved last summer to take a new church. She is mommy to a five year old and a just turned 2 year old. They have a sweet church but very few (so far) young families or couples their age. I pray for her often that she will find some girlfriends to do things with. I'm praying that God will provide some great women friends for her.
